A young Northern Ireland student and business owner has opened up about her experiences overcoming a number of hurdles and learning to maintain a positive mindset to stressful challenges.
‘As a student, I try to pace myself accordingly, and whenever I’m working in our illustration studio, I prioritise getting work done over socialising or procrastinating and of course using the university resources that I wouldn’t have access to at home.’’ An Individual’s personal experience of stress will differ from others, as Maja explained: ‘‘Time management and planning has been my lifesaver when it comes to stressful situations. For example, I had a university project due in the same week I had a big Christmas launch for Majukooo, followed by another university hand in the week after.’’
In 2022, Maja gave a presentation about her business ‘Majukooo’ and later on was asked to speak at a panel about her inspiring business story, which she says was a ‘‘such a stressful and uncomfortable situation for me’’. ‘Majukooo’ is an eco-friendly business which focuses on helping individuals ‘manage your day to day organisation’ while encouraging plant lovers to care for their houseplants with beautifully illustrated stationery products. With a joyful motto ‘helping you live a plantastic life.’
