The S&P 500 wavered in early trading Thursday, after coming off its eighth straight day of winning sessions.
If the benchmark index ends in the green today, that would mark the first nine-day winning streak since November 2004, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Since January 1928, the S&P 500 has logged winning streaks of nine days or more 32 times. The last streak of 10 days or more was the 12-day winning streak in September 1995.
