First-quarter earnings of $3.46 per share fell below the FactSet consensus estimate of $3.67 per share. Revenue of $8.14 billion was weaker than the estimated $8.26 billion.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities — The stock advanced 1.2% after Alexandria surpassed first-quarter revenue expectations.
