LIVE updates as forensics descend on scene near Longsight Market after serious incident

Police are in attendance following an incident near Longsight Market overnight. Officers are understood to have been at the scene since around 10.30pm on Monday night .

Eyewitnesses have also reported seeing a tent in place at the scene. More than 10 police cars were seen in attendance on Dickenson Road late last night. Images from the scene overnight show ambulances in attendance alongside police. An area close to the market was taped off by officers.
