Market Strategist Discusses Positive Outlook Post-U.S. Election

Colin Cieszynski, chief market strategist at SIA Wealth Management, discusses his positive outlook for the markets following the U.S. election results. Republican victories have been well-received by equity investors and cryptocurrency traders, partly due to the defeat of higher capital gains taxes and anticipation of friendlier regulations for cryptocurrency adoption. However, proposed trade measures against Canada, Mexico, China, and other countries have raised concerns.

Since the election, capital has been moving into domestic companies, particularly mid and small cap indices, which have performed well. The current Black Friday and U.S. earnings season are showing mixed reactions, with some retailers performing well and others underperforming. Despite some recent bumps, the stock market is generally strong seasonally, with shallow and brief corrections.
