Cannabis shareholders can thank Sen. Kamala Harris for stock prices spiking in the wake of the Vice-Presidential debate.
“We will decriminalize marijuana and we will expunge the records of those who have been convicted of marijuana,” Harris said during a debate segment that focused on criminal justice reform. Little details are currently available about how a Biden-Harris administration would embark on decriminalization or expunge previous convictions, but both candidates have been vocal about cannabis reform in recent weeks.
But Harris has also caught flack for her record as a district attorney, where she increased convictions of drug dealers by nearly 20 per cent over a three year period.
