The consumer protection watchdog says fuel companies are not obliged to pass on cuts in excise duty.
It says it can investigate"in very specific circumstances" and refer a case for criminal prosecution where businesses form a cartel and collude to fix prices. Most suppliers increased their prices in advance as government gave them notice of decrease. Same happened with rent, government's fellow landlords got notice of max 4% future increase. It's seems circlekireland main culprit. My local garage €1.99 No way I won't pay Circle K!
