La Grange Farmers Market 2023 opening day greeted with beautiful weather and several hundred customers

La Grange was blessed May 11 with a fine Spring day for the 2023 opening of the Farmers Market.

Several hundred people spent the morning hours browsing and buying on Harris Avenue between La Grange Road and 6th Avenue, adjacent to the Village parking structure.“The La Grange Farmers Market is a place where so many good things are taking root,” Nancy Cummings, executive director of the La Grange Business Association, said after the ribbon-cutting celebrating the opening.

It will feature 30 local and regional small batch vendors, coming from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan. Aside from fresh produce, visitors can satisfy their hunger cravings with ready-made treats from vendors like Marek’s Authentic Polish Food, The Daily Bagel, and Kasich Breads.
