Shares of containers/packaging firm Smurfit Kappa Group PLC SKG, -3.17% and wired telecommunications services company BT Group PLC BT.A, -1.62% fell 3.17% and 1.62%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.03% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.02% at $1.2475 and was down 0.09% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.11% at €1.1649.
