Logistics software company WiseTech has acquired Aktiv Data, a Finnish provider of electronic customs and freight forwarding solutions. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition follows WiseTech's recent acquisitions of MatchBox Exchange and Sistemas Casa, allowing the company to establish a presence in Mexico. WiseTech has been actively acquiring companies since 2016 and has completed over 40 deals. After a slower pace of acquisitions in 2020, WiseTech resumed its acquisitive strategy by purchasing Envase Technologies and Blume Global in the previous year.

Logistics software business WiseTech has acquired Aktiv Data, which provides electronic customs and freight forwarding solutions in Finland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2006, and headquartered in Jakobstad, Aktiv Data offers a cloud-based freight forwarding and customs system called nTrax, as well as freight forwarding, bonded warehouse and waybill products.

WiseTech returned to its acquisitive ways last year, buying US firms Envase Technologies for $US230 million and Blume Global for $US414 million. WiseTech will offer Aktiv Data’s electronic customs solution to its CargoWise customers, making it easier for them to comply with Finland’s cross-border requirements.
