Regis Resources is looking at “legal options” after the federal government rejected a tailings dam for its gold mine project located in NSW’s Central West to protect Indigenous cultural heritage.

CEO Jim Beyer revealed on Thursday the company’s plans for the billion-dollar development expected to create hundreds of jobs near the town of Orange had “all been parked” despite it previously receiving other relevant state planning approvals.
