And now Franky Taylor has shared the industry secrets we've all been dying to know including the ultimate busiest day of the year for fish and chip shops and settling for good whether cod or haddock wins as the nation's favourite.

Revealing the most hectic day of the year for chip shops, she said: 'The busiest day of the year is Christmas Eve. In one video, which has more than 187,000 likes, she shows viewers how she takes her chips, with curry sauce - which she admits she used to hate - and a generous amount of onion vinegar and salt

And addressing the age-old question of whether battered cod or haddock is the best, she settled the answer once and for all. Earlier this year, another former fish and chips shop worker also revealed inner industry secrets, including the one item he advises to never order. 'The chips help to clean the oil of the smaller batter particles that do not get removed by sieving the oil,' in an interview with the Express.

'If you want a freshly cooked item go for something that isn't in the glass top under the lights but we would cook anything fresh if a customer asked anyway.
