The ANC announced its decision to recall the mayors along with their executive committee members at a media briefing in Durban on Tuesday.Ndlovu says Gumede is a force to be reckoned with among supporters of former president Jacob Zuma.
“She was given 30 days leave and then it was extended. So that indecision for me suggests that Gumede has some kind of influence. Remember that in the ANC, there is this factionalism which has been going on which the party has totally failed to manage.”
