The owner of an event company has said he hopes a Supreme Court judge will respond to a letter handed to her about the soaring cost of insurance.
The 44-year-old, from Cuffsgrange, Co Kilkenny, runs event company Sonix Entertainment which rents out bouncing castles, rodeo bulls and marquees for corporate and family events.Ms Justice Irvine has been appointed chair of the Judicial Council’s Personal Injuries Guidelines Committee which will review personal injury payouts. Mr Tector, who has 18 years’ experience in the leisure industry said protestors were “disappointed” she did not come out to accept the letter herself.
“We just hope she reads it and really sees how the cost of legal fees, insurance and claims are crippling businesses leaving with no other option but to shut their doors.
