Despite two major reviews by the ACT Government since Jayson Bush's 2012 accident, many of the problems in Canberra's construction industry remain unaddressed.

When asked by the ABC how many of the 2012 recommendations the ACT Government had completed, Workplace Safety Minister Suzanne Orr said:"We will continue to take all recommendations that are put to us as a government".But she said the Government had acted on the more recent Nous Review, and that a move to make the work safety regulator independent once more was just weeks away.Mr O'Mara, from the CFMEU, said in recent years Worksafe ACT had been soft on compliance.

ACT Work Safety Commissioner Greg Jones rejected it had been soft, and pointed to a recent blitz that shut down more than half of the 112 sites visited.
