MACC chief says ‘reputable company’ might be involved in ‘meat cartel’ scandal

Tuesday, 05 Jan 2021 06:14 AM MYT

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is not ruling out the involvement of reputable companies in the smuggling of frozen meat into the country. “If it already involves the cartel as alleged, we believe there must be a ‘tycoon’ or a reputable company involved in this matter. MACC will investigate and no one will be spared.

“Allegations that this has been going on for 40 years also need to be thoroughly investigated first,” he said in a talk show on a private television network last night.

U want to tell, just say it. Otherwise, just shut up and continue to dig further!

This is so unproffessional!

Please REVEAL! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW!

Who cares if it is reputable company or person. Take them to court and charge them. This is pure religious betrayal. JAISelangor drzul_albakri PMOMalaysia SPRMMalaysia PDRMsia

'might'?

Corrupt beyond belief, how can so many agencies be so incompetent or complicit in something in this scale, obviously very powerful untouchable vested interests are involved and they will get away scot-free while making sacrifical lambs of a few minnows further down the chain.

Frankly, ‘ might be ‘ is not good enough...😑

Sapa dia

TSMusaHassan Prosecute la. Dont just sembang kencang sahaja.

May all the culprits be prosecuted especially the government officials even after their retirement or demise.

For 40 years.... Reputable company🙄🙄🙄 how about any 'reputable' people?

Is the macc supposed to make such statements whilst the investigation in on going? Is he aware of the consequence of his uncalled for statement?

The more you try to hide, the more the public will suspect every company. Let the culprits be exposed. Why hide? Political connections again?

Cartel feeding meats and carcasses to the unsuspecting buyers and the enforcement agencies are still playing balls with each other?

MACC must raid department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), Veterinary Services Department (DVS), Malaysian Quarantine andb Inspection Services Department (Maqis), Customs Department and port police. Cartel cannot operate without them.. Act fast!!

Jakim dropped the ball. Haha 😂 because they are the ones with the power to issue the halal certificate. No? Tell us more

Dedahkan dan dakwa syarikat itu dengan segera wahai SPRM

What about authorities officer? Do MACC investigate them too?

its just profit matter

hmmmm....Reputable...as expected
