Spanish film sales companies Filmax, Film Factory, and Latido have set up a joint association, VICA, to promote Spanish-language film and TV worldwide.

Spain's three leading international film sales companies —Filmax, Film Factory, and Latido — have set up a joint association, VICA, to promote Spanish-language film and TV worldwide.

Together, the trio represent the largest volume of film produced in Spain and are key actors in Latin America. "In an increasingly globalized world and within a highly competitive environment, international sales agencies are an essential tool when it comes to achieving the best possible results for the films they represent," the group said in a statement.

While streaming platforms, particularly Netflix, have given Spanish-language films and series increased international exposure — Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia's high-concept horror film become a global hit on Netflix — the VICA founders believe the Spanish industry needs an association that works for their common interests.
