Senator Aliyu Wamakko, representing the Sokoto North, has condemned the killing of 43 persons at the Goronyo market in Sokoto State by armed men suspected

and opened fire on villagers who were engaged in their usual buying and selling. The assailants who stormed the area in large number, gunned down about 43 persons while others were hospitalized.

Reacting, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Bashar Abubakar, the Senator described the incident as barbaric and inhuman.
