Shut pubs, restaurants and nightclubs down that are not enforcing Covid-19 rules, members of the hospitality industry are set to tell the Government at a meeting on Tuesday.

It comes as fresh data provided to the Irish Mirror has revealed that since nightclubs reopened on October 22, 30% of inspections by the HSE on pubs, restaurants and late night clubs found venues were not fully compliant with Covid-19 rules and regulations.

Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will auto-play soon8Cancel Play now “We’re doing our bloody best and there were no real sanctions for all of this.” Of the 2,266 premises checked, 70% were compliant, 7% were non-compliant and 23% required additional compliance measures.The Health and Safety Authority said between July 26 and November 5 of this year, 707 checks have been carried out.

They said they believe it is “definitely a blame game” on pubs and restaurants and that representatives “don’t trust” Dr Tony Holohan “and he doesn’t trust us.”
