Federal Finance Minister Simon Birmingham has demanded Premier Mark McGowan outline when Western Australia’s hard border will fall.

The Western Australian Premier continues to face pressure, despite support from Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese, over his decision not to reopen his state’s long border closure in February.

However, the Finance Minister said while it was “fine if he’s making those decisions for now”, Mr McCowan had to offer an alternative date soon. “It’s his state that he was elected to govern, we’re not going to have that debate with him about how he runs his state.Despite having strict border measures, Western Australian COVID-19 cases continue to grow, while hundreds of students and teachers across the state have been plunged into isolation.

F.R.O & Birmo

Has said when 90% of WA is triple dosed - with a 4th dose exp coming 3 mths later that adds at least 3 mths bec ppl getting tired of doses. - could be up to 5th dose by then - so poss sometime in 2022 - after Fed election .

Who's Simon Birmingham?

Cut the federal funding to WA!

Who ?

Simon who?

The Finance minister has zero say in it and he hates it 😂

'Demanded'! Can someone have a quiet word with Simon please?

McGowans hospital system is on the verge of collapse. Opening the border and allowing covid into the state will make him look like an idiot. Ain’t gonna happen.

It’s not a race. The PM said so.

Don’t bother mate, we live in WA and we have all given up. Starvation will kill us all before McGowan does…

But didn’t Fukmo just support McGowan on his border closures. The LNPCrimeFamily is a rabble 🙄 LNPCorruptionParty LNPDeathCult ScottyTheCompletePsycho

‘Demanded’ ok

He can 'demand' all he likes, but just remember the WA mining industry is why this country has been able to survive so well economically throughout this pandemic, think about it. Rupert, (sky news) and Birmingham can say what they like, but it's not helping anyone.

Looks like it worked to me... Morrison is agreeing, but Brimo is not? Wake up mate. Your leader has. The Federal Liberals are polling -7.3% behind ALP and bogan MP calls like this is why WA gave this result....

Its great to see Murdoch has no control over WA. Lets make him have no power over the rest of Australia!

Demanded lol one who has no power trying to run WA ?

Mincing Poodle 2.0 says what? 😀

Where's my MurdochRoyalCommission ScottMorrisonMP !!!!

Dear fellow West Australians, What you see below you is a plane. I flew this contraption four times last year to exciting world destinations from Europe. I pray one day you get to enjoy the same experience 🙏 ✈️ . MarkMcGowanMP is stealing your life and you don’t realise it?

lol like Mark McGowan gives a sh*t what that silly dork Simon Birmingham thinks. 🤡 Ha ha.

Liberal party? Just ignore him, he'll be gone by next election.

Reposting ey?

Demanded,,better talk to your boss, he's happy with the borders now

Someone needs to remind him about that constitutional thing… Where’s Clive Palmers legal challenge now? Doubt the risk is proportional to the risk now…

Simon, when are you going to introduce an ICAC Bill. Manage your own house! SCOMO now likes Mark more than Clive.

Finance Minister demands answers from McGowan over reopening dateFinance Minister Simon Birmingham has called on Premier Mark McGowan to learn the lessons from how the rest of the country has reopened and handled the Omicron variant and set a date to drop his hard borders. With the PM's endorsement of WA border rules, I don't think he is listening to the premier who letitripdom, I think McGowan said he looks at NSW and knows not what to do... The rest of the country didn't have a run down health system already at capacity before covid. Western Australia does, dispite its constant bragging about having the best economy in Australia. It’s a lesson still being learned though isn’t it.🤷‍♂️
