Scott Morrison has told Australians and businesses to 'not put all their eggs in one basket' in relying on cheap products from China and believes the country's coal power stations should 'run as long as they possibly can' as renewables are not reliable.

Scott Morrison has urged Australians and businesses to"not put all their eggs in one basket" in relying on China for cheap goods and low-cost manufacturing.

One voter questioned the reliance by Australia and other western countries on China and raised his fears of being able to still have access cheap products and services despite the"tough" relationship seen throughout the pandemic. He did note there was already a"global shift" from companies and individuals around the world in finding alternate partners to provide manufactured goods.

"But we’ve held our ground and we’ve stood up to it and that barely has found other markets. While the wine isn’t getting the same price, that’s harder, they’re gonna see this through." Mr Morrison said the"short answer was yes" but stopped short of endorsing a call to construct more coal-reliant power stations.

Someone please replace this Scott Morrison.

Very right

Our Coal exports may reduce significantly soon after China announced ⬇️ a ramp up of their domestic production by more than they import from us. A massive hit to some States. But a reduction in our emissions but a further growth in Chinas emissions. Do we still get floods then?🤔

Thus proving he knows nothing about renewables. But, hey, why break with tradition? Morrison doesn't know about anything but fleecing the taxpayer.

We don't buy eggs from China. Don't know how old they are.

It was a big mistake to move most of our manufacturing to China and will take decades of economic pain to separate ourselves from them but worth it.👍

Another prediction by Rudd coming true

You would have to agree that coal will be around for a long time still, hell some countries are still building new coal generators. But who knows someone will invent a 24/7 renewable generator tomorrow and that's the end of coal. 👍

We moved almost all manufacturing to China despite the public’s opposition. Now, how’s that all going?

Did of your “journalists”give Scotty a tummy rub while he was there.

AlboMP will make Australian manufacturing great again!
