Insurance companies are still not passing on savings from reduced awards to their customers - Fine Gael Senator Maria Byrne.

this morning, Senator Byrne said the average amount awarded by the Personal Injuries Assessment Board has fallen by more than 40% since 2020 – from €24,000 to just over €14,000.

She said the biggest concern is personal liability insurance – with some businesses seeing their premiums increase even as claims reduce. Senator Byrne said companies should be required to send government regular reports, proving they are reducing premiums alongside reducing claims.

Elections please. This next one will be an eye opener for the FF and Fg. Greens will never recover from Eamon Ryan's leadership.

And we expect that coven of protected and corrupt bunch of bastards would pass on any savings?

Wait, did we think that was actually going to happen?

Why would they. Lining their own pockets is the name of the game

This is a protected industry which makes it immune to market forces.
