An annual ranking of public companies’ transparency practices put three companies with major Phoenix operations among the highest ranking.
Honeywell Technologies , whose aerospace division is headquartered in the Valley, landed at No. 3 and Phoenix-based mining giant Freeport-McMoRan placed No. 19 in the awards’ top 20 of 2022 list. Labrador evaluated the top S&P 250 companies for the quality and completeness of information that they provided to investors based on reviews of annual proxy statements, 10-K reports, investor relations websites and codes of conduct.Accessibility, or how quickly readers can find pertinent information in a document;
The survey ranked all 250 companies, but only the top 20 were made public. The other companies each received their own rankings confidentially, Labrador said.
