Employee loyalty at companies in Illinois and across the country worsened over the past year. Employers have reason to worry and need to be laser-focused on fixing the costly problem, experts say.

CEO Aaron Fundich noted the company recently tweaked its organizational chart to provide more visible opportunities for staff to move up, and two years ago the company launched Robinson University, an internal training and development program. At Chicago-based real estate company Dream Town Realty, another Top Workplace that ranked high for employee loyalty, creating a culture of collaboration and generosity helps retain staff, CEO Yuval Degani said.

“Employee loyalty”? You mean “corporate capacity to hold employees”.

*Meanwhile, a whopping 94% of those who left their jobs in the past 12 months said they didn’t regret leaving. Only 23% said they would accept a job at their previous employer if offered one.
