Jacksonville has beat out Atlanta and other U.S. cities to get the North American headquarters of Paysafe Ltd., a London firm that does online payment processing across the globe.
The company plans to request incentives from the city and state, although details have not been nailed down. Legislation for the incentive package is expected to be filed soon, with a goal of having it through the City Council by the end of 2023. Some of the company’s officials are already in the Jacksonville area, including Lowthers, who was named CEO of Paysafe in May, coming to that role after serving as president of FIS.
