Archer Aviation Inc. plans to build its air taxi fleet near Atlanta.
"After many months of discussion and evaluation, we're excited to select Georgia as the location for our manufacturing facility," Adam Goldstein, Archer's CEO, said in the press release. Georgia has put together an incentive package for the company that amounts to about a third of Archer's planned capital investment, the company said. The package includes tax incentives, a grant from the state and land transfers.
While considering possible sites for the factory, Archer looked at the availability of potential employees, utility access, construction costs and the ability to conduct test flights, the company said.
