Crane Watch: JEA warehouse project leads this week's permits

The week beginning on Nov. 7, beset by Tropical Storm Nicole, had approximately $41.4 million worth of permits issued across multiple sectors. Of the 497 permits, 396 were for condominium, duplex, mobile home, single-family home and townhouse construction, leaving $22.7 million worth of other projects.Wharton-Smith received a $6.5 million permit on behalf of JEA for a warehouse building at its 2221 Buckman St. biosolids plant. Harvey Builders Inc received a $3.5 million permit on behalf of McGuireWoods for an interior demolition and a buildback of office space and a conference room to one floor of Bank of America Tower. Contractor Construction received a $2.8 million permit on behalf of 4751 Jacksonville LLC to remodel an existing building on 4157 Walgreen Road for the conversion to a True Storage facility.
