American radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas court on Friday. In the bankruptcy filing, Jones said he has just $1 million to $10 million in assets. American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones filed for bankruptcy Friday, just under two months after he was ordered to pay nearly $1 billion in compensatory damages to families of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting victims, according to court filings reviewed by Insider.

Chris Mattei, an attorney representing the Sandy Hook families, issued a statement to Insider after the news of Jones' bankruptcy.
