Salesforce says it will cut office space. What does that mean for San Francisco.

Salesforce made headlines Wednesday byWhat the customer management software company did not provide: details on where it would be looking to shrink its footprint.

In 2021, the company hired a new head of real estate, former Stripe executive Relina Bulchandani, to help consolidate leases, CFO Amy Weaver said on the company's earnings call late last year. The company said it expects to incur between $450 million and $650 million in charges associated with the office space reductions.
