Crescent Heights won approval for a high-rise on Van Ness in 2020. Now it's making changes — and wants more time to get started.

Miami-based Crescent Heights has made some changes to its approved but delayed residential tower slated to rise in San Francisco's Hub District.Thursday. The commission previously approved the towerHeights

The original project was intended to provide 347 studio apartments as well as 433 one-bedroom, 165 two-bedroom and 21 three-bedroom units. If approved, the 10 South Van Ness tower would now feature 374 studios, 501 one-bedroom units and 137 two-bedroom units. The three-bedroom units have been scrapped from the proposal.

The modified design has reversed what would have been a new shadow cast on the Howard Langton Mini Park and Community Garden at 10 Langton St., though the building would still cast new shadow on a total of six other surrounding properties.
