Microsoft is running full-page ads in UK papers, promoting its Activision Blizzard merger plans and claiming it will be able to bring Call of Duty to 150 million more players.

and “result in higher prices, fewer choices, or less innovation” for players.

It suggested the simplest way to ensure there isn’t a significant lessening of competition would be to block the deal entirely or implement a partial divestiture of Activision Blizzard that would see parts of the business such as Call of Duty sold off and removed from the equation.

The CMA has raised concerns that Microsoft could choose to apply a range of tactics to stifle competition if the deal is approved. These include withholding games or content from rival

Are they still pretending they can actually get the latest Call of Duty to run efficiently on a Switch?

block the deal seriously. use ur head. microsoft should not be allowed to pay $69 billion to buy anything. its a monopoly. we dont want microsoft controlling how much developers get paid, which games get made.... its all wrong netflix is not good for the film industry.

Cringe move by Microsoft. The desperation doesn't look good especially when its highly likely that the deal will be allowed to go ahead.

With the Switch as the lowest common denominator no less! The Series S holding back COD's potential for the whole generation is not enough... Let's have the Switch hold it back instead with its prehistoric tech innards! (and no, the Switch 2 will not remedy this)

PhilnSpencer said 2 billion before now its 150 million only

LoL You dont play COD on a Nintendo Switcheroo. Microsoft is a terrible liar

150 million players who already have access to the game?

New levels of desperate from them

In Microsoft/Phil Spencer we trust !!! ❤️❤️❤️

Smells like desperation

150 million thats a dam good move, best i ever saw was 7million online on xbox many moons back, the thing is some people are worried about the change i want everyone around the world to be equals, why should people loss out to Sony blocking other gamers CMAgovUK time to stop it

Holy shit major desperation

why don't hey invest in their innovation or productions teams ffs xbots want games, not ads

OK this is just hilarious

All Microsoft do is talk, hell Phil has been talking about games for years but if we look around there's nothing 1st party AAA in 10yrs that's new.

Question… if the deal doesn’t go through they could be sued for false advertising? Seen example of lawsuits for less.

I really couldn't care bout cod. I care more for diablo. Let ms have cod. Just let ys know will future Diablo games still be multi platform

Strange how they say that COD isn’t the main driver behind this deal, but focus their advertising on it. Public sentiment won’t push the deal over the line. It’s up to regulators

Shame their tactic is to rile up the public instead of negotiating terms in a more serious manner with all sides

That think that the ones that will kill cod is not other games, but microsoft. Its hilarious.

Shits definitely some desperation from Microsoft. People who want to play call of duty are already playing it. No one really wants to play it on the switch

Literally modern propaganda xd

It'll be interesting to see how upcoming Call Of Duty games run natively on Nintendo Switch when current titles are 100+ GB.

If only jury by public opinion was a thing

Microsoft in panic mode. Where is this magic 150m coming from? Does it included severely cutback Switch versions?

good.

What’s that going to do? Majority of UK are PlayStation players.

The only people that read the papers are old people there not going to look at it and be like: *can't wait to hit the squad up on coldwar*
