First look at Leyland market refurb as £38m deal works under way

Leyland's impressive £38 million town centre improvements are now under way as the council moves towards final stage plans.

South Ribble Borough Council's funding bid saw £25million allocated to the exciting project. Following the bid and a large consultation process where residents, stakeholders and businesses offered their views, the first phases of work are now well underway.The first phase of site clearance on Quin Street and John Street has been completed by ADS Environmental. In preparation for 2023 the team have been busy securing the land acquisitions for the scheme.
