'Revolving door' at work in Bains hiring by Rogers, some industry watchers say — via financialpost

A spokesperson for Rogers said Bains’ role will include governmental affairs, which involves stakeholder relations or lobbying with various levels of government, but that Bains will not communicate with the government on behalf of Rogers because of his obligations under the lobbying act, which prevents former members of government from lobbying for five years.

Marisa Wyse, the current chief legal affairs officer, will assume regulatory affairs following the departure of Ted Woodhead, the outgoing chief regulatory and government affairs officer, it said. “He’s got quite a range of experiences from his time in government and in the business community,” Goldberg said. “And I think that that provides some pretty valuable background.”
