It is normal to apply colonial legislation... Where infringements happen, and then litigate in other areas.

Where is the misleading media? ? ?

If they are operating as a Canadian company overseas, and/or with company headquarters or registered as a Canadian company, they must abide by Canadian law everywhere. Canada forbids enslavement and other human rights abuses and the company should be sued in Canada.

Lo normal es aplicar la legislación colonial... Donde suceden las infracciones, y luego litigar en otros ámbitos.

It feels like it should be common sense that a company can be sued at its seat.

Surely not, capitalism would collapse.
