ANC MP Bheki Hadebe now asking questions, specifically about Makgoba finding about the intelligence finding. 7m agoMakgoba -"the board was aware that there was corruption... and wanted the GCE to come up with solutions to that." ANC MP Sakhumzi Somyo grills Makgoba about why the then was not informed when he was aware of the intelligence probe. "Once the board deemed this an operational matter, it was up to the GCE... it is not unusual... the shareholder was aware of this.

Says she was not aware and was not privy to any intelligence reports. She was there when De Ruyter addressed Natjoints, and briefed them on potential threats and acts of sabotage. Eskom executive are asked if there were any elements in the report that would have driven them to act"otherwise"Makwana says the new board did not know about the report.

He said the process to appoint the panel was still on-going to ensure that they"join the dots" in terms of anything that could be missing regarding State Capture- After Zondo's report, Eskom created its own State Capture task team. The new board was informed in October about the task team's findings.
