“Advanced manufacturing in the state has seen robust growth, with significant investment from semiconductor, electric vehicle, and aerospace/aviation firms,” according to the publication. “And major companies are choosing the Lone Star State for corporate headquarters with 55 Fortune 500 firms calling the state home.”

In the last year, Dallas-Fort Worth has gained a variety of corporate headquarters – from heavy equipment giant Caterpillar Inc. to manufacturer ATI Inc. It’s also attracted the likes of homebuilder Landsea and Republic Finance, which is building a new headquarters in Plano to replace its longtime Baton Rouge, La., home.

Texas also scored well for its diversity of industries, infrastructure and “business-friendly regulatory and tax climate,”
