The alumni of the MTN scholarship program were exposed to valuable insights on how to navigate and excel in the Nigerian music industry. The highlight of the workshop was when the legal experts used diverse local and international cases to buttress the importance of understanding IP in order to avoid stories that touch the heart like “someone stole my song” ….This is probably why the MTN Foundation’s Executive Secretary, Nonny Ugboma called the workshop, “the Business of the Arts series”.

The elated Director School of Music, MUSON, Princess Banke Ademola could not hide her excitement for MTN’s support. She appreciated the Foundation, and reminded the attendees at the inaugural workshop that, “What MTN Foundation is offering is a training that is in high demand world over.

The MTN Foundation continues to build on its enduring partnership with MUSON with the initiation of a scholarship programme in 2006 that has produced hundreds of graduates from the MUSON School of Music, who are currently achieving laudable feats in various spheres of arts and culture
