The finance professor and author of 'Stocks for the Long Run' says equities will give investors a better chance for growth as AI fuels productivity gains.

Wharton School's Jeremy Siegel said investors should stick with stocks even as the 10-year Treasury yield again breaches the key 5% level. Stocks came under pressure Monday from higher Treasury yields. All three major stock market averages were last trading lower as the 10-year Treasury yield briefly topped the 5% level, with some analysts saying yields could climb higher still. "Clearly, stocks are the place to be in if we get stronger growth," Siegel said Monday on CNBC's " Squawk on the Street. " "And I don't mean just for last quarter. You know, I think the promise of AI is real. This year, our growth has been driven by productivity.
