Workers at two major Australian companies risk receiving lower bonus payments if they fail to adhere with office attendance guidelines.

Financial institution Suncorp Group and power company Origin Energy, like many employers, brought in policies this year around

Suncorp said employees need to follow the hybrid working plans they agreed to with their managers, but it had not brought in hard-and-fast rules about office attendance.In principle, it means failing to comply with their hybrid working plans could see employees lose a small amount of their bonuses.

Origin introduced a 40 per cent office attendance rule for its office-based workforce in September 2020, which it says is a "modest" expectation.
