Karibib is a Khoi word from Western Namibia. It is also a small town there, named for a certain plant species, though Jozua says it means the Place of Agriculture.
Karibib, the farm in the Polkadraai of Stellenbosch, is a 52-hectare farm with 42ha under vine and has become one of South Africa's most hallowed viticultural land in recent years. Home to vineyards that go into some of the most venerated wines in the country, with names like Duncan Savage, Lukas van Loggerenberg, De Toren, Damascene, Radford Dale, Raats, Sons of Sugarland, Angus Paul, Illimis, Torero, Tembela Wines, Three Quarters, and McFarlane Wines.
