China is buying U.S. pork again after a virus decimated herds there, and the U.S. is stepping up measures to protect the industry

A deadly virus that has decimated Chinese hog herds has prompted buyers in the world’s largest pork market to purchase more of the meat from U.S. producers for the first time in a year.

Now U.S. officials are enlisting sniffer dogs and other heightened monitoring efforts to help protect that hog-market rally. As if animal agriculture wasn't disgusting enough, live exports is the most deplorable. We really need to find a better way to feed our people because this isn't it 🤮 and it isn't sustainable!
