A consortium of Dutch Seed companies have launched the Seeds for Change programme in Kano State, providing quality seeds and training to vegetable farmers to up their yields.

The statement indicated that Mr Mackenzie Masaki of Netherlands-African Business Council who is coordinating the S4C project, explained that there are opportunities in utilising quality seeds in farming. “Therefore, the S4C program will promote the use of biological crop protection and hybrid vegetable seeds to improve yields and provide training on cultivation techniques for five vegetable crops like tomato, watermelon, onion, hot and sweet pepper and cabbage,” Masaki said.
