The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.91 percent, or 354.96 points, to end at 39,347.04, while the broader Topix index added 0.95 percent, or 25.70 points, to 2,728.32.The US economy added 303,000 jobs in March, beating analyst expectations in the latest sign of labour market strength. “These factors provided relief to investors, pushing the market, especially futures, higher”, the brokerage added.
