Government sues Ticketmaster owner and asks court to break up company's monopoly on live events

The Justice Department has launched an antitrust suit against Ticketmaster because of what it claims is a monopoly over ticket prices & sales. -- The US Justice Department and almost 30 states sued Live Nation Entertainment Inc., alleging an “entrenched” illegal monopoly over the live events industry and seeking to force the company to sell off ticketing giant Ticketmaster.
