Interesting article, especially as you mention cities like Hong Kong but then ignore their solution which was to build upwards, like most other major cities in the world. Of course the Brits are too good for those awful high rises! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Was going fine until Thatcher tore up private rental legislation and gave away council housing at bargain prices forbidding councils to build with proceeds. We need public sector housing - a source of finance for local Govt. too- (it’s not subsidised! )
