Lagos Pacific Lions Club, on Thursday, embarked on a clean- up exercise in Lagos. It also donated sanitation materials as part of its Environmental Protection activity.

The exercise tagged “Cleanliness Awareness” which is the club’s fourth activity took place at Ipodo Market in Ikeja, where a giant waste disposal bin, rake, waste nylon, local and brush brooms, Izal, hand gloves and nose masks were as donated to the market community.

Speaking while presenting the cleaning items to the representative of the market community, Anita Razaq, said the donation was part of Lions Clubs’ objectives to support government’s efforts in giving better lives to its citizens. She urged the marketers to imbibe the culture of personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness in order to curb the spread of cholera and also encourage them to make good use of the waste disposal bin and other cleaning materials to improve the market’s sanitation situation.
