The six-day meeting of the ANC’s highest decision-making body started on Thursday in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.
The ANC first deputy secretary-general Nomvula Mokonyane and the party’s head of elections Mdumiseni Ntuli are expected to report back on the reflections of the elections and what led to the ANC losing its majority forcing it into a government of national unity. Earlier, the party’s secretary-general Fikile Mbalula said the outcomes of the meeting of the NEC would be tabled at its Lekgotla starting on Sunday.
“We will then report to the lekgotla, the work and the decisions of the NEC in the form of this perspective, how this moment is interpreted by the NEC.
