The Gauteng Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Department has expressed sadness on the passing of Praise poet Bishop Jessica Mbangeni andSikwane was a seasoned broadcaster who worked for various radio stations including the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s SAfm.
The Department’s Spokesperson Nomazwe Ntlokwana says, “Jessica Mbangeni also made an outstanding mark as a founding member of the Grammy Award winning ensemble, Soweto Gospel Choir.” Ntlokwana says, “Thabiso Sikwane made a significant impact in the media space and inspired many with her engaging presence, her legacy as one of South Africa’s most celebrated media personalities will be continuously honoured.”
