The UK’s largest thrift market is returning to Manchester this weekend featuring live music, street food and more than 100 traders selling vintage and pre-loved clothes.

Alongside a wide array of traders selling the likes of accessories and jewellery, the event will also feature a clothes swap where people can fill up a tote bag filled with pre-loved items. The event at the Grade II-listed venue, on Hathersage Road, will also feature a range of street food stalls and a licenced bar offering a selection of drinks including cocktails.

Clothes Cycle was created two years ago by university student Poppy Collingwood-Cameron in a bid to encourage people to see the potential of sustainable fashion - and to ensure a high-quality experience for attendees. “I found that the in-person thrifting events I attended were usually overwhelming and involved low-quality stock often being creased, sometimes dumped in large piles, or not smelling not great. This affected my experience and made thrifting in-person tiring, unenjoyable and often unsuccessful.
