The Uptown Foxtrot is gone, but Berkley’s, another neighborhood market and coffee shop, is taking its place along McKinney Avenue in Dallas.

Like Foxtrot, Berkley’s Market is part coffee shop and part upscale market with prepared foods, pantry goods, beer and wine. The new Uptown location will also function as the test kitchen for the market and its two other locations, one in Knox Henderson and the other in the Arts District.“We’re leaning further into our prepared foods program here, while still offering our core favorites,” Porter said.

The Berkley’s Market locations were initially opened as Royal Blue Grocer, an Austin-based neighborhood market chain, but Porter and his co-owners parted ways with the company andMore Berkley’s Market locations are planned, but how many will open and where they’ll be have yet to be announced.
